Dragonwolf Studios

We offer a wide variety of recording, mixing and mastering services:

Multi-Track Recording ~ $200 per song
This includes the recording of all individual tracks, plus three hours of engineering.

This is the typical recording style found in most commercial studios. It is much more involved and requires more time for the overall process. Here, the drum tracks are laid down first, then the other instruments are added, one at a time. The advantage of this style is that it is more forgiving. If someone makes a mistake in one part, it's much easier to fix, so the end result is more polished. As well, this format allows the instruments to fade into and out of the various parts of a song, such as a distorted guitar fading out as the clean guitar starts, rather than ending abruptly.

Off-The-Floor Recording ~ $100 per song.
This includes one hour of engineering for volume and EQ adjustments.

Although this method also produces multiple tracks, each song is recorded with all instruments playing at once. Adjustments can be made to the final mix to adjust the volume of individual tracks as needed, and minor EQ adjustments will also be done, but what is played is generally what the final mix will sound like. This is perfect for bands looking to record a demo album, or for those bands who just prefer recording "live."

Mixing/Mastering Existing Tracks ~ $40 per hour
[usually 2 hours per song]

Have a song you recorded somewhere else and need it mixed and mastered? We can do that too. We can use virtually any sound format to put your song together for you.

Vocal Overdubbing ~ $40 per vocal track recorded
This includes one hour of engineering.

Already have the music? Want your voice on the song? This is perfect for a vocalist interested in recording a demo album or for someone who just loves to hear the sound of their own voice.

Full Lockout Is Our Standard
When recording at our facilities, your equipment is kept locked in the studio for the duration of the recording process. Of course, if you wish to take it home each day and set it up again the next day, that's your choice. But while you're recording, no-one else will have access to the room, so your equipment is safe. We believe that recording should be fun and relaxed, without all the stress of moving equipment in and out or worrying if it's safe or not. Once you're set up, that's it. Relax and record your album.
